  • The 'Innovative Young Blotechnologist Award' (IYBA) was instituted by the Department of Biotechnology in the year 2005, as an attractive, career-oriented scheme to identify and nurture outstanding young scientists with innovative ideas and desire to pursue research in frontier areas of biotechnology. For the year 2011' awards, the department invites applications from the young Indian investigators upto the age of 35 years. The award will consist of financial support for a project and Cash Award/fellowship for the awardees. Awardees having a regular employment will receive a cash award of ? 1.00/- Lakh every year during the course of the project in addition to grants-in-aid of ? 50,00/- Lakhs for a project. The awardees, those are not in the regular employment will receive a fellowship of ? 40,000/- per month with grants - in-aid and shall be attached to a Senior Scientist (Mentor) in a University, Research Institute, Medical/ Agriculture/ Veterinary College or any other institute of repute. It is expected that the awardees will work independently and the Mentor will facilitate the awardees research efforts.

  • The Director, IIA invites applications from exceptionally bright candidates with outstanding academic credentials for the award of 'Chandrasekhar Post-Doctoral Fellowships' in all areas of astronomy and astrophysics. The fellowship is for a period of two years with a possibility of an extension for one more year. Candidates should be ordinarily below the age of 32 years. The monthly stipend is Rs.25,000/- for candidates with up to 2 years post-doctoral experience and Rs.30,000/- for those with more than 2 years experience. Chandra Fellows would be entitled to an annual contingency grant of Rs.1,00,000/-, as well as to housing, medical and other benefits in accordance with the rules of the institute.   • APPLICATION SUBMISSION GUIDELINES PhD Degree, Master’s Degree, and Short-term Course Applicants are fully responsible for securing their own acceptance from an accredited university or institution in the UAE or abroad for their chosen qualification. These qualifications are expected to be conducted with the on-going teaching profession at the school, and making use of the school holidays as necessary and therefore may include on-line and hybrid courses. That is, the teacher will maintain a teaching commitment to the school throughout the course. I. Applicants should submit the following documentation electronically:
