- Ph.D students are sanctioned, Rs. 10,000.00 towards the end of their research work. Those students who continue Ph.D directly after M.Phil are eligible for financial assistance in third year itself.
- Financial assistance will be sanctioned in two installments for Ph.D students. Rs. 5000/- will be paid after registration and again Rs. 5000/- is paid after the completion of the course. For M.Phil students after the completion of the course Rs. 8000/- is sanctioned.
- The Head of institution / Guide of the research work has to state that the work of the concerned student is satisfactory.
- Those students who join Ph.D directly become eligible for the sanction of money only after they pass the Pre-Ph.D examination and those who come after completing M.Phil become eligible in the third year.
- The students who want to obtain financial assistance through the Dept. of Social Welfare should not be the recipient of either UGC / CSIR/ ICMR or any other Research scholarship.

Every year CWIT offers upto 10 grants towards the costs in the UK of short visits by academic research scholars and professionals working in the arts and humanities. These grants are generally sufficient for visits of up to 3 weeks. Applicants planning to stay longer need to supplement this grant from other sources. The grants do not cover international fares.
It is worth noting that researchers planning to use libraries such as the British Library can often prepare extensively by using on line sources, thus maximising the effectiveness of their time in the UK. Guidance on how to gain access to collections is also given on line.
Applications are considered from those doing archival research, consulting UK colleagues, preparing material for publication. While preference is given to post doctoral applicants doctoral students will also be considered.

- The Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship Program at London Metropolitan University has been set up to honour the major political and spiritual leader of India, who is officially honoured in India as the Father of the Nation.
The scholarship program supports one Indian student and covers thetuition fees for a Masters programme at London Metropolitan University.
Additionally, the university will support two Indian students with a 50% reduction in tuition fees.
The scholarship will be awarded annually to the most outstanding Indian postgraduate student coming to London Met on the basis of excellent academic performance in India.
The recipient must also demonstrate the potential for leadership and social change as exemplified by Gandhi.
The minimum academic requirements to be a serious contender for the scholarships would be as follows:

- Conditions for Scholarship
1.To be eligible for applying for scholarship, students should have scored not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination.
2.The annual income of the student's parents'/guardians' from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakhs. Enclose attested copy of Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar or Original Income Affidavit on a Non-Judicial Stamp paper of Rs.20/-
3.The students who have been sanctioned scholarship for 2011-12 are eligible to apply for renewal for 2012-13, on scoring 50% and above marks in the previous final year examination.
4.A xerox copy of the receipt for having paid the School/College fee should be enclosed along with the application.
5.Applicant who applies for both fresh & renewal of Scholarship should indicate their nationalized Saving Bank full account number along with the Bank’s IFSC code number & full Bank address in the online application so that the Scholarship amount can directly to be transferred to the students account through online transfer. A Xerox copy of the 1st page of the Bank Pass Book to be enclosed.
6.The student should register only once for online Scholarship. If there is any mistake while submitting online application it should be brought to the notice of the Directorate of Minorities. Corrections will be done at Directorate of Minorities office only.

- A Xerox copy of the receipt for having paid the college fee should be enclosed along with the application.
- Every applicant who applies for renewal of scholarship should Indicate their SB Account Number along with the bank's IFSC Code Number & full bank address in the ONLINE application so that the scholarship can directly be transferred to the account through ECS.
- The student should register only once for online Scholarship. If there is any mistake while submitting online application it should be brought to the notice of the Director. Corrections will be done at Directorate office only.
- Applicants with less than 50% marks in the previous years final exam are not eligible
- Applications received after last date will not be considered (Except Renewals).
- Incomplete Application and Incomplete documents will not be considered.
- If student is having any back logs in any semester he/she is not eligible.

Please read the introduction of the program carefully before filling in the application form.The Islamic Development Bank Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in order to improve the socio-economic conditions of the Muslim Communities in Non-Member Countries around the world and to make meaningful contributions to the development of their countries, launched its scholarship program in 1983. The Bank is trying to assist and develop the potentialities of Muslim students by awarding scholarships to the scholars who are unable to pursue studies due to financial difficulties. The program is now in operation in 48 countries.
- Objective of the Program:
The objective of the program is to provide opportunities for the academically meritorious and financially needy students to pursue studies in professional degree courses in the approved areas in order to become competent professionals with dedication and commitment to the development of the communityand the country.
- Nature of the Program:
The scholarship is an interest-free loan (qard-e-hasan) to students. It covers cost of living, clothing, books, tuition fees. Recipients are therefore required to refund the scholarship in easy instalments after expiry of one year of the completion of graduation or after settling down in profession whichever is earlier.This is necessary because the scholarship is a grant from the Bank to the local community to enable it tosustain into the future to benefit deserving students to enjoy the same educational opportunity.
- Eligibility:
The scholarship is open to students who are meritorious but financially needy and have passed SSC
(10+2) examination and are desirous of pursuing undergraduate professional studies in session 2012-2013 in one of the fields of study approved under the program. The Master Degree Courses and the students going
abroad for study do not fall within the purview of this program . Students joining Degree Courses after
Diploma will not be considered for scholarship.

- Must have secured minimum 60% marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics in SSC (10+2) examination except for students from Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu who should have 70% in the aggregate in
